I just sold my Spoon SW388 wheels and picked up a bronze set of 17x7 +42 fronts and 17x8 +47 rear Work Emotion CRs. I went with the lower offset in the front VS the recommended +47 because I am running the Spoon/Project Mu brake set up. Anyway the 17s do clear the front brake calipers with a 3mm spacer (No big deal). I will get pictures up this weekend. I am also at a 3 inch drop with no rubbing on Bridgestone SO3 tires. I used 205/50/17s in the front and 225/45/17s in the rear. This is the exact tire size recommended by Work Japan. They even took into consideration a 1 inch drop with these tires and wheel offsets. I basically was the guinea pig with these wheels and brakes. I was told that the Spoon racecar had custom 16s made (gold) that arent available to us. So I went with the next size up.

They do have Work Emotion CR Kais coming out in 18 inch in about a month. The only thing is they will not have very good offsets for the S2000. I talked with Work and they told me your better off staying with the 17 inch application. I even did some research on the offsets available when they come out and the best front would be a +48 front which is great but the best rear was a +40 I believe. Which is not so great. So I went with the 17 inch app. with the +42 fronts because I have a big brake kit and went with the +47 rears.
I tried to stay close to OEM specs as much as possible so I kept it simple. I went with SO3s at a 205/50/17 front and 225/45/17 rear. This size is great because I daily drive my car. Other than that there is not much else. Let me know if there is anything else you need.
Have a good one.

I went through AKH Trading out of California for the wheels. Wheels and tires were like $2200 (with tires and shipping) for the 17s.

As for my lugnuts, they are Rays Engineering with locks.

So basically what you guys are saying is that if you dont have a BBK then get the +42mm in the front and if you do have a BBK then get the +47mm in the front correct? So for example someone like me without the bbk the +42 in front in the correct offset? THanks.

No, if you have stock brakes then go with the +47 fronts and +47 rears. If you have a BBK then go with the +42 fronts and +47 rears.
