Yokohama discontinued the A052???

they are coming out with a new version with a deeper starting tread depth so that they are legal for STR autox. With their current offering they are not legal for autox competition. It will be interesting to see the times set with the 52s vs the 71r on an autox course.

I'll need new tires. Just need to decide if I want to squeeze the 245/40-17 on the 7" front rim for B/Street.
What I like is the 295/30-18 and 315/30-18 for folks looking to squeeze wide rubber in their wheel wells. Any racing class that allows them would generally also allow the BFG R1 and R1S and the Hoosier R7 and A7.

They are also useful just to get a 'look'. Those are meaty pieces of rubber.
Which one holds temp and is fastest for autocross will be interesting. Many thought the A052 was faster on track. This new version may have more changes than just tread depth. After all, they start knowing the targets are the RE71r and Rival S 1.5, even though that information didn't seem to help Dunlop with the ZIII.
