To get a house like the one's Sam posted here in Williamson county (Franklin/Brentwood etc) - you're looking @ $550k & up. Easy.

You're in an expensive area, quite close to Nashville etc. I know when we looked at houses down there, and in Georgia the house prices were appealing. You know what they say, location, location, location.

When I moved up here in '99 I couldn't justify the house costs knowing what they went for down south (Texas) and I don't think I've still come to grips with it. $300k still gets you 3000+ sqft and a 3 car garage for a brand new house. The highways are either clogged up or you have to navigate several 1 lane roads in various pockets of BFE.
