1. Pearl Blue Apex CR S2000

"CR" in this model's name stands for Club Racer. This was essentially a racetrack-oriented variation on the regular S2000, which itself was no pushover when it came to race prowess. The weight has been minimized here to its bare essentials, with some of them being produced even without air conditioning or a sound system. Just under 700 of these cars made it to the United States. Of these, 200 were given the Apex Blue pearl paintjob.

2. Imola Orange S2000

The interesting thing about thinking of Easter colors is that they technically run the gamut from bright to neutral, mild and bold. The color has to look friendly and festive, however, and in this case, the Imola Orange paint job S2000 succeeds remarkably. This is the sort of sports car where it would be most likely impossible to feel depressed driving around in it. Typically Easter eggs don't reflect in the sun quite as brightly as this car, but we'll let that detail slide for now.

3. Suzuka Blue Metallic S2000

One of the overlooked aspects of an automaker and their design are their choices of paints and colors. If Dodge is arguably the best US automaker when it comes to cool colors, the same might be said for Honda in Japan. This "Suzuka blue" shade looks futuristic and somehow nocturnal. It's the sort of color you could expect to see on a car in some sleek cyber-noir thriller, blazing through the streets of Tokyo. It also has the distinction of being part of the friendly Easter palette.

4. Noxious Pink S2000

This custom-modded S2000 was modified by a small company called Noxious Design. Based on the bright pink used here, the name seems pretty fitting. This is a color that will tear your eyes out if you're not careful, although that's not necessarily meant in a bad way. The bright pink here has a great festive zest to it, and it'd have no problem standing out in a crowd of hundreds. The modified trim looks great too.

5. Deep Red S2000

After a couple more outlandish-looking Easter S2000s, here's a more familiar-looking one. This S2000 is a 2006 model. Even at its most ordinary, the S2000 stands out as a work of motor art.

6. Custom-wrapped Orange S2000

Generally speaking, when it comes to talking about colors and design aesthetics within a certain make of car,  the most interesting cases tend to rise out of the custom modding market. Here's an S2000 with a custom orange and black wrap. In a sense, Easter eggs are another way of saying custom-modded eggs.

7. Custom Teal S2000

It's tough to get away from these custom cars with their custom paint jobs once the habit starts. They just look too good to pass up. This is a 2001 model from the AP1 generation and has been clearly customized with the intent of making your heart stop in awe of it.

8. Spa Yellow S2000

Then again, every so often it's definitely worthwhile to put an eye back on the standard models, even for the sake of comparison.

9. Rio Yellow S2000

Falling somewhere between a standard orange and a standard yellow, the S2000's "Rio Yellow" is arguably classier than the "Spa Yellow" we saw before. Between the two, it could also be argued that this one is more Easter applicable. Who would have thought?

10. Custom Easter Paintjob S2000

Last, but certainly not least of all, this gorgeous custom S2000 features a dreamlike coat of paint that would probably seem tacky if it weren't on such a sweet automobile. A user on Instagram posted this one with the caption "Happy Easter!". In other words, you may be looking at the first-- and if so, almost certainly the only-- custom Easter-themed Honda S2000 in history. Have a great holiday.
