Completing the Collection

What do you get the Honda fan who has everything except an S2000? Well, an S2000, of course! S2KI forum member Bubbels** doesn't reveal what kept Honda's famous roadster out of her collection, which also includes an Integra Type R and formerly a Civic Type R with a host of Mugen goodies. But she finally righted that wrong a couple of years ago by purchasing a stunning Imola Orange example, which we get to see evolve in this build thread

Waste no Time

Bubbels** wasted no time accumulating parts for her new ride, picking up an OEM hardtop and a set of Enkei RPF1 wheels the very day after she purchased it. Then soon afterward, an OEM tonneau cover and VGS steering wheel. As soon as the weather cooperated, she treated the car to a full detail that really brought out the shine in that gorgeous Imola Orange paint.

Looks and Sound

New parts kept flowing in after that, including a new decat and premium floor mats. Next up was a J's 60RS exhaust, which not only sounded awesome but looks great, too.

Low, Go, and Stop

To get the car a little lower and improve handling, Bubbels** sourced a set of KW V3 coilovers. But she waited around a little bit to replace those since new brakes were in order as well. In the meantime, subtle changes like UK taillights helped improve the looks of her ride.

Parts Train

At this point, it seemed like parts were flowing in virtually every day, which is something we can certainly relate to. Next up - a K&N high flow filter and carbon intake, black emblems, and a J's steering wheel with quick release.

Carbon Fiber Everything

All of this little stuff was quickly adding up to something really big. Next on the mods list was a carbon fiber fuel rail cover, OEM brackets for the hard top, and some carbon fiber interior dress up items.

Plenty of Options

Some indecision on wheels led to a few changes, however. The OP was planning to refurbish her V1 wheels, but came across a set of V3s and couldn't resist picking them up. But while those were off getting refinished, Bubbels** tossed on a set of 18s she had sitting around on for wheels. Might as well have options, right?

Big Changes

Bubbels** had been coveting a set of Cusco Bride Zeta III seats to this point and lucked out when a friend sold her a pair. Then she ordered a J's hood that really changed the look of this S2000 for the better.

Getting Serious

Things are really starting to get serious for this nice little S2000 build. Bubbels** has since picked up a J's Racing header and currently has the front fenders off while she fits new parts. So be sure and head over here to keep up with this clean build, because it's far from over at this point!
