7 Pics of This S2000 From the Land of the Rising Sun

With no major intentions of making this car one of the best looking ones on the planet, Yuu Majima-san bought this Honda S2000, and slowly turned it into by far one of the nicest modified cars in the world.

1. The Foundation

In 2010, Yuu Majima, the owner of M&M Honda, purchased this 2000 Honda S2K from one of his customers. The car was mostly stock, except for the Spoon Bumper, TEIN coilovers, and CE28 rollers, and it still had the soft top on it. After driving the S2K around, Majima knew it was time to make a change and invest some money into this beast, and it took him only two years to finish painting this masterpiece. Unfortunately, the car was in a bad accident with the rear suspension taking the majority of the damage. However, Majima-san would not be dissuaded from his end goal with the car.

2. Exterior Modifications

Yuu Majima widened the body of this S2K by installing an M&M Honda Hyper Widebody MR Type Racing front lip, Type HF wing, and a set of Hyper fenders. To complement the wide body, he changed the stock hood to a Type T carbon-fiber hood, and he installed carbon-fiber canards to go with it. Finally, he replaced the soft top with a red fiberglass top, he replaced the mirrors with Craftsquare mirrors, and painted the exterior with a sleek black paint, and the top with a pearl red metallic paint, making this beautiful masterpiece.

3. Interior Upgrades

The modifications don't stop on the outside, the interior of this S2K received some major upgrades. The original seats were replaced with Racaro TSG seats with Takata 4-point harnesses, and right in front of the driver seat is an aftermarket MOMO Tuner steering wheel. Majima also installed M&M Honda race pedals with reinforced clutch pedal assembly. Finally, he installed a set of Defi gauges, and to keep the carbon-fiber vibe going, he installed carbon-fiber door inserts.

4. Wheel and Tire Mods

Supporting this piece of art are four 295/40R18 Yokohama Advan A050 M tires, which are wrapped around 18x10.5" -8 front wheels, and 18x11.5" -19 rear Work Meister M1 wheels. The lug nuts on the wheels were replaced with M&M Honda chromoly racing lug nuts, with 5mm spacers on the front, and 30mm spacers in the rear.

5. Suspension Modifications

Supporting this monster are M&M Honda/Ohlins Special Type 3 dampers, as well as M&M Honda upper mounts, springs, sway bars, strut bars, rear lower control arms, and camber control arms. Majima also installed M&M roll center adjusters, which are extended ball joints that connect to the front lower control arm, tie rod ends, and an aluminum flat bottom kit that protects the extremely low-to-the ground bottom. The whole suspension system of this S2000 is upgraded with no expenses spared.

6. Brake Upgrades

If you're going to put a good amount of horsepower mods into a car, it would be best to add some extra bite into stopping the car as well. On the other side of these wheels sit AP Type S brake calipers, which clamp on EP3 rotors, using the Ferrod 2500 brake pads, braking together as the AP racing brake kit. Finally, he changed the stock rubber brake lines with his very own M&M Honda stainless steel lines. This wide body beast does not lack any braking power.

7. Engine Modifications

The engine of Majima's S2000 received quite a bit of upgrade, like the Toda Racing C2A cams, cam gears, retainers, head gasket, and timing belt. He also replaced the valves with M&M Honda valves, as well as added an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and the entire engine sits on Mugen mounts. The exhaust was replaced with a titanium cat-back exhaust system. Majima replaced the stock clutch with carbon spec RR clutch, as well as added the M&M Honda shifter assembly. Finally, Majima installed an AEM plug-in ECU and wiring harness to finish things up under the hood.
