Daily Slideshow: Hondas Show Up for Wekfest Japan 2018

The main emphasis of this year's Wekfest show was all about stance and fitment as well as bridging the gap between the US and Japan tuning culture. Keep an open mind and check out how owners have pushed themselves to come up with new approaches for style and execution in their respective builds.

SPOON!!!

Wekfest 2018 at Port Messe, Nagoya didn't fail to bring out row upon row of slammed and beautifully modified Hondas. Hondas have and always have been a big part of just what this show is about. Ranging across the board from classic to more contemporary is the selection of Hondas at Wekfest. Never stop creating. never stop evolving.

Right here is an EK4 Civic SiR built as an homage to Spoon. The car has been a regular at Wekfest for the past few years but is always changing and improving. In the engine bay is a listing of Spoon catalog items but there are also options like a Skunk2 intake and short induction pipe that give the build some variety.

It's unique

This S2000 is slammed on a new Blow Design Parfume wide-body kit which made its debut at this year's Osaka Auto Messe. The body kit isn't the only interesting thing going on as up front is a custom setup centered around a Precision Turbo on a custom manifold. The bay is shaved and wire-tucked, the radiator has been repositioned there is a Radium Engineering fuel system, dimple die cut and punch strengthed bars added to the chassis. The intercooler has been v-mounted far up front to take advantage of the all of the air flow that comes through the gaping opening of the Parfume front bumper.

Tastefully done

The king of all Hondas was of course there at the event with a few examples on hand in various flavors. This was my favorite of those being that it kept those sweet pop-up headlights intact and had more of a daily driver vibe about it. The hood is NSX-R inspired and has a functioning vent that channels air away from the radiator. Out at the rear is an accompanying NSX-R like wing and a discreet but aggressive diffuser.

Back in time

There is no need to rub your eyes at what you're seeing as this is a true USDM EF Civic sedan that has been so cleanly restomded it made us wonder what year it is. The engine bay has been meticulously upgraded with engraving done on the cam cover. On the inside is a cabin that has been done up in so much white it could serve as a clean room for science experiments. The engraving that was done on the cam cover is also present on the spokes of the steering wheel as well as on the metal shift knob.

Quite the wagon

Last but certainly not least is this Accord Tourer wagon that reminds us all that anything can be made awesome with the right parts and creativity. In the front is a Mugen bumper that serves to make the family car a nice square jaw and toughens up the appearance. The stock K24 remains under the hood but it is sitting in a shaved and wire-tucked engine bay and mated to an Eaton-type CT Engineering supercharger. Just behind those Arcane Legend wheels are beefy StopTech brakes to upgrade things in the braking performance dept. Seeing this car adds another bullet point to the list of vehicles that we really don't see enough of out on the road.
