Daily Slideshow: Meet the NSX Widebodied, F1-Inspired S2000
We often wonder what a modern-day, NSX-inspired, S2000 racer would look like. And now a talented artist did the work for us!
1. Rebirth of Slick
As different as they may be in theory, both the NSX and S2000 have at least one thing in common. Both are incredible sports cars, built by Honda, that disappeared from the earth almost as fast as they entered it. But while the NSX received a heroic comeback, that doesn't appear to be in the cards for its two-seat roadster little brother. But what if it did? And what if it came back with similar, new age styling cues? Well, it might just look like this.

2. New and Old Come Together
That singular image is the brainchild of a talented gentleman by the name of Khyzyl Saleem. And suffice to say, his inspiration for the concept is quite simple. "I really wanted to see what an NSX-inspired S2000 would look like, so I made this kit for one, pretty happy with the outcome." We have to agree. And we're especially digging not only the widebody kit, but also the throwback Marlboro livery.

3. Honda Visionary?
There's no denying that the modern-day NSX styling cues look right at home on Saleem's concept drawing. Nor the tobacco themed livery, which is a nod to Honda-McLaren's F1 glory days. Obviously, smoking isn't quite as cool as it was back then, but we can forgive that little fact. Otherwise, you can't help but appreciate Saleem's design wizardry, which is good enough that he should be getting paid by someone.

4. Give That Man a Job!
We're not the only ones that think so, either. Plenty of folks chime in on Saleem's post to give him props. Many wish that such a body kit was actually in production, while others feel like Honda should just give him a job on the spot. Others just want him to paint their S2000 for them. Regardless, everyone comes away impressed with this simple idea that Saleem executed flawlessly.

5. Real Life Translation
Sadly, this one simple render is probably as close as we'll ever get to an NSX-inspired, widebody S2000. But we can always hope and dream, of course.
