Strutting its stuff

SEMA 2018 is almost a week old, but that's not going to stop us from showing you some of the best cars we found at the show. This S2000 by Evasive Motorsports caught our eye immediately and the color is only part of the reason. Aggressively modified with a Voltex Racing Circuit Version II Widebody Kit and a rather ostentatious aero and towering rear wing, this S2000 (referred to as the EVS2-v4) was designed to attract your attention as much as it was designed to kick ass on the track. In fact, now that SEMA is over, this S2000, the EVS2-V4 is getting ready to begin track testing.

The wind beneath the Voltex Wing

The EVS2-V4 represents the first collaboration between Evasive and Japanese aero specialists Voltex Racing. Aside from the wing, you will also find a massive, extended front splitter that sits just below their traditional bumper. The front fenders go super wide, leaving lots of open space behind the front wheels. The fenders then swing down to the side skirts, which mimic the front splitter's almost butter knife appearance.

Diffusers and side panels

Moving on from the center portion of the side diffusers, the body pushes out again to express the rear quarter panel, even more a new angle takes over and again pushes outward but leads to a rear quarter panel that is even broader than the front panels, accentuated with high and low vents cut in angular slivers that compliment the rest of the body. The carbon rear diffuser is much more prominent than what we are accustomed to seeing from factory-issued S2000s.

Carbon fiber side mirrors match hood

Evasive as also added carbon fiber mirrors that attach to the factory mirror mounting points but feature a sculpted base with resized mirrors. This style of mirror has been seen before on Porsche Motorsports cars and although these are 3D printed prototypes for display purposes only, an enthusiastic reaction from show attendees may convince Evasive to add the real deal to their EVS Tuning line.

Under the hood

Under the heavily vented dry carbon hood sits an F-series engine that's been reworked with a Toda 2350 stroker kit that includes their crank, rods, and Defric coated pistons to bring displacement up to 2.35L. Combined with an HKS GT8550-based supercharger kit and we are talking some serious power here. To help transfer that power properly, OS Giken provided their 7-speed sequential transmission.

Suspension and tires

Of course with all that power and the craziest aero ever, you're going to need proper suspension and tires or what's the point? Evasive used Moton Motorsports dampers and Advan A050 rubber wrapped around Advan TC-4 rollers.

The bare essentials

Inside you're going to find the bare bone essentials, suggesting that the EVS2-V4 is not for showrooms only. According to Evasive Motorsports, the car is set to begin track testing in early 2019. From there, who knows where we will see this S2000 next? My best guess is the winner's circle.
