HKS F22C

Superchargers and S2000s go together like Hondas and referee tickets. Vo is isn’t new to the track game and opted for an HKS supercharger that pushes out 347whp. More important than peak power, the general curve bumps up everywhere while retaining the stock power curve. This means the character of the car (and predictability) is retained. Smart.

Stuff that Sticks

Wheels and tires are critical components on any build. All four corners of this car are a square setup, meaning wheels and tires are the same sizes in every way, which is a common theme in nationally competitive S2000s. The tire of choice is a 255/35/18 Advan AD08R with a wheel that is 18x9.5 provided by SSR. These are ultra lightweight wheels that are incredibly strong.

Power to Weight

At a competition weight of 2,850 lbs, this car has a power to weight ratio that puts it on par with a 2017 Camaro 1SS. Firepower like this can destroy any muscle car when you consider how much lighter the S2k is. Son’s car is really the perfect blend of parts for this chassis. It’s a brilliant build.

Hipermax

HKS is also found in the suspension department with their Hipermax coilovers. These ultra costly JDM units run an 895lb/in. spring rate all the way around while permitting mass to be lowered for better handling. If there is such a thing as all go and now show this would be the definition of it right here.

Detailed Dynamics

Aerodynamics that is. What you won’t find on this car are giant splitters and unrealistically large wings. Son chose pieces that move air and heat in a simple, yet effective way. It’s a build that ticks all of the boxes for what is essential to make a car fast. Son Vo’s S2000 is truly as perfect as it gets. Until next time.
