Pro Stance

Stanced cars are obviously one of the more controversial styles in the world of automotive customization. And if you consider yourself to have a pro-stance, um, stance, you'll love the many incredible Honda machines Speedhunters photographed at this year's StanceNation NorCal show.

Planting the Seed

Like most of us, StanceNation founder Elvis Skender fell in love with cars thanks mostly to posters and Hot Wheels. But when he stumbled across a copy of VIPCAR magazine back in 2007, he also discovered his deeply embedded love of stance.

Common Ground

Only a year later, Skender founded StanceNation. And he quickly discovered that there were a lot of people out there that felt the same way about these super low, heavily-cambered cars.

Rapid Growth

“I was hosting small car meets in shopping center parking lots and such," Skender told Speedhunters. "Things started getting too big, so I stopped the car meet stuff and eventually turned it into full-blown car shows.”

Mr. Worldwide

Nearly a decade later, StanceNation shows dominate the international scene with a pair of shows in Japan (Nagasaki and Odaiba) and a total of six events in the U.S. (NorCal, Florida, Texas, Vegas, Atlanta, and SoCal).

Quality Over Quantity

One of the biggest reasons so many people love StanceNation is because these events prioritize quality over quantity. There are many, many car shows out there that boast a way higher attendance, but they tend to get watered down with questionable builds.

Something for Everyone

This year's NorCal show brought out roughly 230 amazing rides, each one of them very deserving of being there. And sure, many of them featured wheels so cambered that they looked like something out of a cartoon. But there were plenty of other amazing rides to partake in if that's not your cup of tea.

Looks over Speed

In the heavily restricted confines of California, enthusiasts aren't exactly able to rip out their engines and build unrestricted speed machines anymore. So many turn their attention to aesthetics these days instead.

Unique Rides

Honda vehicles, of course, make the perfect basis for a build like this. With great looks and incredible comfort out of the box, owners can simply focus on making them more unique to suit their personal taste.

More the Merrier

So even if you aren't exactly a huge fan of stance, at least you can appreciate that it helps keep this automotive scene we love so much going. The more enthusiasts we have in this hobby of ours, the better it is for everyone!
