It has been nearly two years since one of the largest gatherings in North America took place. We're ready for these shows to come back!
A Throwback
In the year that's passed, most of us have longed for the days when we could find multiple car shows to go to every weekend. And as we slowly but surely reach the light at the end of the tunnel, shows as the 2019 Import Alliance Spring meet are what we have to look forward to. So here's a throwback to the best of car culture in Atlanta, and a peek into our not-so-distant future!

Our Future
Of course, some parts of the world were more devastated by the pandemic than others. The stay-at-home restrictions were not as strict everywhere. But most of us have had to experience a lack of car meets as we've come to know them. We've almost grown used to a new normal, with smaller gatherings, and face coverings. But brace yourselves, because sooner rather than later, we're going all out again, better than ever.

Wide Variety
Super Street writer Sam Du describes his excitement about the early Saturday morning meet. One of the largest gatherings in North America, Import Alliance brings together a wide variety of cars, from Hondas and Toyotas to Subarus, and even some appearances from the Germans, there was something for every taste in Hotlanta that morning.

Massive Gathering
Of the 10K+ cars that gathered around the vicinity of the Atlanta Motor Speedway, a good portion of them had driven long distances to get there. Many of them had booked hotels and gotten a weekend getaway out of the meet. And everyone was happy to be there and share this experience with fellow enthusiasts.

Sense of Community
And that camaraderie is what Import Alliance is all about. There are no competitions and no prizes to fight over. The show is centered around the idea of bringing enthusiasts from all different walks of life together to enjoy the atmosphere. It encourages a sense of appreciation among the community.

Drift Showcase
As is often the case at shows of this magnitude, there was a drift showcase at the event for those who felt like burning some rubber. That also speaks to the diversity of the builds that were present. As many show cars as there may have been, there were even more beastly machines made to tear it up on the asphalt.
