Daily Slideshow: Touring the 2017 PRI Show for Power

We previously covered some of the great products at the PRI Trade Show, but now we'll go through the show floor to look at the cars that were on display. The Performance Racing Industry show is a no-frills stripped down event where the automotive world comes together for the sake of sharing what's fast and how to get faster.

A bright car from the folks at Vibrant

This S2000 from Vibrant Performance was designed and built by Jason Schmuck and features a clean as hell J-swap. The first thing that smacks you in the face are the two Garrett turbos sitting up front followed up by the custom Rywire harnesses and a Vibrant's new titanium components. Bank accounts beware

PRI runs over the course of three days and is similar to SEMA in that different brands get some space on the floor to show off their latest wares and in some cases bring a car along to show off proof of concept. The show for 2017 was held in Indiana and played host to over 1,200 companies and 3,000 booths.

Watch your step

Motovicity brought out this Can-jam Racing Suburau in which to entice showgoers over to their booth. The super aggressive widebody kit on the car was complemented by an outrageous front splitter that laid so close to the ground that it dared folks to accidentally step on it. This STi was actually crowned the Speed Ring champion just a year ago.

An Evil Evo

Optima Batteries brought along this Evo sitting on Forgeline wheels that saw some time ion the track as part of Optima's Ultimate Street Car challenger. The great thing about the PRI show is that everything here is purpose driven. You won't find vanity items or things that light up and draw attention just for the hell of it. If you pray at the altar of speed then this is your Mecca.

The bare necessities

This HPD Civic GT concept was a no-nonsense racing vehicle that featured an interior that was devoid of anything remotely being a creature comfort. Not even a center console or seats, baring one for the driver made the cut for this car. Just a K24/K20 combo under the hood matched up to an S2000 transmission and it is ready to go.
