Track Ready S2000 Tows Jet Skis With Zero Cares
Daily driver, drag racer, rallycross machine, and now apparently tow rig - the Honda S2000 can truly do it all.
Suffice to say, the Honda S2000 is a very versatile machine. One capable of everything from daily transport to drag strip domination to dirt track racing. But as we've now learned from pro race driver Robert Throne, they also make nice towing rigs, too.
By day, Thorne drives a McLaren GT for K-PAX Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsport in the Pirelli World Challenge Series. But on the weekends, he prefers to tool around in his killer S2000 autocross machine.
Apparently, that doesn't just mean driving the S2000 on the race track. Thorne also recently used his awesome ride to tow a pair of jet skis to the lake.
As hilarious and silly as this may seem, the little Honda apparently pulled off the task perfectly. Which has to mean something, right?
Up for the Task
Although we're guessing that he also drew quite a few strange looks at the boat ramp. But if you don't need a truck or SUV to get it done, why bother buying one?
Out of Its Element?
Naturally, the S2000's typical weekends aren't spent doing this kind of thing. Thorne uses it to compete in local autocross races and just general hooning around.
But it is summer, after all, and jet skis are a fun water-based activity that's sure to appeal to those of us who like to drive fast. So why not combine the two?
We often hear that race cars aren't practical, even when it comes to basic driving on public roads. But this is just further proof that this idea isn't necessarily true.
Bouncy but Fun
Sure, this S2000 racer probably isn't the most comfortable thing to drive down pothole-laden highways, but it's light years more fun than some boring truck or crossover.
Build and Enjoy
Personally, we love to see this sort of thing. Because after all, why buy and build something if you can't truly enjoy it doing whatever it is you enjoy doing?
