Default SOLD Android data logging. 10hz GPS and obd reader, both bluetooth

SOLD already

So I've switched to Apple so have these that can no longer be used (iOS does not allow pairing to devices like this via bluetooth, you have to use wifi).

Selling as a pair, £40 delivered. No offers.

If you want to have a play with data logging these are great. You will need an android app, Torque is best, or alaprecorder (not in development any more). You can then export the data and merge it to any videos you make. One of mine here:

First up is the QStarz 818XT 10hz GPS box:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Qstarz-BT-Q8.../dp/B005GDIPMG

It logs you position every 1/10th of a second. Phones only log your position every 1 second, so this give much better timing. It's also more accurate.
It is still boxed and totally as new and comes with all accessories.

I also have this bluetooth OBD dongle, this is the one here. As you'd expect, as new. It also lets you read codes off of the engine and also reset them. Great if the engine light keeps coming on from a decat, you can just reset it It also reads things like revs, throttle position, collant temp, intake pressure etc for data logging.

Its great fun mucking around with this stuff

I use both these products with my iphone4s. Although you do need to jailbreak your phone to allow a Bluetooth connection

Mmm, didn't know that. I already have a plx kiwi2 now for obd as that can connect to other sensors you add to the car.

Do you know if the Bluetooth GPS work with Harry's lap timer?

Yes it does, I use the Qstarz 818xt with harrys lap timer but you have to jailbreak your iphone and download an app called btstack GPS.

I know Harry prefers you to have apple approved GPS devices

Thanks, I found BTStack and tested earlier today and got it working. Thanks for posting this! I was going to end up shelling out circa £90 for one of the apple approved BT GPS ones by dual.

Sale cancelled and all resolved with the buyer and refunded. I'm very sorry about that!

Please lock this thread, the OBD device is sold, the GPS device I am hanging on to.

No probs. it does work as I have always used it but I know Harry prefers you to run apple stuff. Any questions give me a shout.
I gave up with the obd in the end. Lap timing with speed and track map is enough for me
