Default Turn on..Drive it... Turn off....Wont restart

Hello all , looking for some advice on an issue im having. Not my first rodeo but this has me stumped.

Setup:
Kraftworks Supercharger
Deatschwerks 800 CC Injectors
Deatschwerks fuel pump
Kpro
70mm Throttle
Hondata Intake Gasket
PLM header
Berks 3" Single Exhaust
Tuned @ king Motorsports unlimited

Alright so here's were the fun begins, car drive great no leaks no issues with the motor running. Car starts fine every morning, but if i drive the car then turn it off, and attempt to restart it, just cranks and wont fire up.

Here's were is gets weird. If I wait 15-25 minutes the car fires up just fine.

The possible problems?

Spark Plus (new plug in car BKR8EIX)
Coils? (car wouldn't drive correct but it does)

I believe this has something to do with the Hondata ecu or tune. I'v played with tuning software but looking for more experienced to chime in.

To much fuel? (car is running a tad rich black smoke under load)I don't have any gauges to know afr's
Immobilizer issue? (it's disabled on the tune)

So what do you guys think, car starts up perfect but when I turn it off I cant restart it without waiting 15-25 min Otherwise it just cranks and cranks.

Sounds like too rich on startup. I didn't have any issues like yours with not starting at all, but mine was more like too much cranking time before it would finally fire and run. I started pulling fuel and adjusted the prime pulse time in my EMS (haltech) and its much better. Im still working on it though.

That what I'm thinking too. The car has only been supercharged for a year and these were the plugs when I pulled them off a couple of days ago.

Agreed, sound like cranking pulswidth for hot start needs adjusting. More than likely it's too rich, but can be lean as well. Adjust the PW in the hotter coolant temp range until it starts without issue.

No pro at this but it would be under fuel compensation tab on Kpro perameters correct?

I am not familiar with Hondatat/Kpro, however, in just about every car I've worked with, there should be an injector cranking PW vs coolant temperature. When the car is in cranking mode, ECU's command a pulse width and nothing more as the ECU can't monitor anything while cranking.

What I'm seeing there looks to be for correcting fuel vs temperature to account for startup/warmup and to compensate for lesser/more air based off temperature being that it is SD.

EDIT: Did some image searching and you should be looking for something like this (Cranking Base Injector Pulsewidth -->under the Fuel Trim button):

I did see this same issue with a friends Turbo s2k and it turned out to be a blown headgasket . It was leaking between the cylinders . I hope this isnt your issue .

No white smoke coming out of the rear. I feel the hot start parameters is it. Check it out this is my fuel trim tab. too much at hot or to little?

Hello. Have you contacted KMS about the issue? They will fix the issue. I've had a bit of this in the past and the tune had to be adjusted a couple of times. Call them ask for Mike Lindquist tell him the issue and he will probably have you talk with Tim Martin their tuner. They are good people and they WILL take care of you!

Good luck,

Brian

You could also post this on the Hondata forum. They are usually good about replying.

Could be pulse width issues on hot restart, that is what Brian had issues with.
