Default SRS Light is on

Hello,

Since the day I bought a '99 S2000 1 month a ago, the SRS light is on.
The seller told me that the driver seat has been taken out for bolster repair and probably started the car or something like that so the light came on.

I have did a reset as it's described on this page for about 10 times now:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/525...s-light-is-on/

And the procedure was properly completed by blinking the srs light 2 times.
After that , sometimes the SRS light goes out after 6 seconds when i turn the key, like it should and sometimes the srs lights is coming on instantly.

When it's off and take it for a spin it's stayed off. but when I turned the car off and start it again the light wil stay on again

then I jumped pins 4 and 9 on the obd connector and waited for the code.
It had 1 code: long, short, short

I also took a video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZT97O...ature=youtu.be

When I disconnect the connector under the driver seat then there is no different in error codes, so I beleive there is a fault in the wire under te seat or something ?

But when i look in to this diagram, there is no 1-2 code... ???

Thank u !

Thats BS...you can drive ap1 s2000 without seats (i did that) and srs wont come on. Also the cable is only for seatbelt indicator. Was there aftermarket
wheel installed or has the car been in accident...not sure about the 1-2 dtc tho...

I mean wheel..as in steering wheel (in other words drivers airbag)
I was just thinking that maybe previous owner had aftermarket steering wheel and put the original back on before selling the car and éither didnt plug the airback in correctly or caused some damage to the wiring.

Well looks like the seller didn't mention something to you regarding the SRS light... One big reason why before buying a vehicle ... We should always research and learn everything about that particular vehicle to identify any serious problems. Hopefully it's something small and nothing expensive where the value of the car will most certainly drop... Good luck. Oh yes... And I took off both my ap2 seats and I never got any lights on the dash besides the seat belt indicator..
