Rofl. Later haha. So impressions. My unscientific findings are it spools slower. How much Idk. Just feels lazy. But. This could Def be from one of the four god Damn bolts holding the turbo to the manifold rattling loose. Arrrgg.

Best part is I didn't notice that until after I ramped up the boost controllers spool. Yay. So Saturday I'll fix the bolt and get some more impressions.

are you using nordlock washers? now all we need to tackle are the dump tubes vibrating or breaking welds

No. Sweet sweet home Depot hardware. Three of them have held up great. The fourth is really hard to get leverage on.

I had the dumps braced recently. So far so good.

OK I couldn't wait. Bolt is tightened. Then noticed the lower hose on one of the waste gates was loose. So I cut some of the hose and reattached. But still feels loose. Now I see what others do an fittings or push lock. The rest hold great. Stupid one hose. will replace it tomorrow but at least car works again.

Now to see how the change for spool feels.

i am totally whoring up your thread.

updates, 100% spools slower. i have now jacked up the gain affect in the aem to maximum spool effect. i can hit 12psi in 4th gear at 4800rpm. this is the best i can get it to, which is decent for the turbo i have. the shitty part is i am aiming for 13psi, and i am hitting 15psi then settling back down to 13. sucks, but i dont think its that big a deal. i have read a lot about the filter 2520 on other setups, and looks like it can support up to about 550-600whp and even then its restricting like 10-15whp. big deal. all in all, it stays, but dam, i hate that it kills spool. i might hack the shit out of the inner fender to fit a big pipe and filter in the bumper. MAYBE.

lol, no problem buddy:P yeah, the spool has definitely been effected by the addition of a filter. just wondering how much power this is sapping too still thinking of going with the custom afe filter, but been putting it off since i haven't been driving it much at all. probably going to get the new filter and full blown manifold, depending on results and then try to retune. thinking about also removing the cat because i think it tends to keep a lot of heat in and every time i get back into the car after parking it for a few hours, the cabin is quite warm.....noticeably warmer than ambient temperatures. got any pictures of smashed filter on turbo?!

i will get some pics of it tomorrow. as for sapping power, i am leaning towards it being negligble once full boost is reached. i see TT viper setups using these filters and making 1476rwhp. of course i bet its restricting at that power level, but tech, its one filter for 735whp. what i saw said guys made 600+ and barely saw loss from using it. the thing i havent found a calculator for is that the filter has ridges, like ruffle potato chips lol. so that adds filter area to it. the calculator is for a smooth filter. and more googling found this filter could flow close to 900cfm. so i think its fine for our power level. however, def have someone mess with your boost controller gain. you will get back a lot of the spool you lost. i did
