CNCSpeedshop Signature short blocks
Our signature short blocks are built to order with the best parts on the market
We start with a core block, install Darton ductile iron dry flanged sleeves, the block is honed to our specs, then decked and cleaned.
Our blocks include Wiseco pistons, Brian Crower rods, ACL bearings and are blueprinted to ensure proper oil clearance on all bearings.
Signature short blocks are $2899 including 5 quarts of Amsoil Break in oil
Core blocks are $350
Core Cranks are $350
At this time we do not have any cores available.
Dyno results from one of our 9:1 compression long blocks with an RLZ CNC cylinder head. Car was on the dyno for break in before the turbo is installed.

Nice!
I have a complete 2.2 long block that had crank walk. I picked it up for dirt cheap (mainly for the head) but in your experience, can the bottom end be saved (rebuilt)?

It depends.. if the thrust washer just wore out then we can rebuild it no problem. If the thurst washer spun in the block then the block and crank are probably toast. If it just wore into the crank then we can probably reuse the block.
Did it lock up or could you just see the crank moving back and forth a little?

Some of the thrust washers ended up in the pan and I didnt try too hard but it seems like its locked up.
I havent had time to open it up and the guy I bought it from didnt even bother with it either lol.
Once I get it open I can get a better idea (pics too). Maybe this weekend I can work on it.
Thanks for the quick response

Shoot me some pictures once you have it opened up and we'll see whats going on. It sounds like it spun the thrust washer in the block. I'm sure the block will be unusable. If you're lucky the crank is ok.
