I am a huge fan of the RS-3 because where I autox it is very hot usually in Nevada. They grip hard. I am not sure they are available at this moment from Tire Rack or not, but if you dont "need" them this instance, they are worth the wait to save the money over the others. They wont be the best in all conditions but they are the best in the dry. I like that they are more comfortable due to the softer sidewall, it is apparent when switching to them from a stiffer sidewall tire but you will get to use to it fairly fast.
If you need any wet weather performance, the re11A will be the best.

re11A(noticed they are not in your poll, but are in your post) will last longer and probably be more than enough grip.
RS3's dont last and are loud.
Rivals are overpriced and ugly .

 

What is the intended use?

Auto-x in cold weather = ZII
Auto-x warmer weather = Rivals or RS3 if really hot (still a toss up)
HPDE/Track = RS3 or (ZII if you want better response - you need to be smooth though. it's easy to over drive and grease up these tires)
Mixed Street/canyon with occasional auto-x/track use = RE-11A

 

Yeah the last one. Mostly street driven (aggressively) with a handful of HPDEs per year. I ruled out the RE11As based on the dry track data from TireRack, rather have the Rivals than the RE11As. Car is not my dd and rarely if ever sees rain. I do drive the car in cold weather though, but that's only once a month to the meet and it's mostly boring highway.

Will the RS3s hold up in cold storage? IE: my garage in 30-40 deg. weather? I have heard horror stories of r-comps malforming while sitting in the garage during winter months

 

Can't make a comparative comment, but I've had Rivals for a few months now. They've seen a couple thousand miles, about 100 autox runs and a track day. I've gotten pretty damn fast on them. On a cold morning they're horrible until warmed up - to be expected. In the rain I am cautious but confident. The S is supercharged with about 350 whp - the Rivals have seen some abuse and are holding up very well. I'll buy them again.

 

I am about to buy new tires too, mainly for track and some street driving. I narrowed my options to RS3 and Rivals, with a preference for the rivals. Glad to read boony196 feedback. I think you cannot go wrong with either, but it sounds like the Rivals hold up better.

I feel like out of the three, the ZII is the better street tire for occasional track use. The other two I feel are track tires for occasional street use.
