Coil pack I can borrow
Is there anyone in the Middletown CT area that has a Coil pack I can borrow briefly? Trying to determine if a bad coil is causing my CEL and terrible hesitation.
Any help would be much apperciated!

Couldn't you move a coil from a good cylinder over to the problem cylinder and ind out tht way?
If it's random misfire in multiple cylinders, consider checking your injectors. I had this problem awhile back and went through a lot of spark plugs and and changing of coil packs to figure that out.
Just a heads up as a possibility seein how you're symptoms I how my S2k started.

The coil packs seem to be a weak link in the S2000's electronics, at least in my AP1 engine. Maybe heat soak causes their demise over time. I've just replaced my 3rd one after 150K miles. This time it was an intermittent failure and took a while to diagnose because the coil wasn't failing completely... but yesterday, it failed totally and it was easy to find the bad cylinder. Luckily I was near a parking lot and had the right Allen wrench and 10mm crescent wrench to do the work.
The trick to the diagnosis, by the way, is to get the coil cover off and (one at a time) pinch and back off the connectors from the the coil packs. If the coil is working, you'll hear the engine revs sag, then put it back and move to the next cyl. If you back off the connector and DON'T notice a change in what you here, then voila! That's the bad one! (thank you Scott for that trick - it's saved my bacon a few times).
Mongo helped me out once as he had some coil packs from an RSX, I think, that were compatible and got me back on the road. After that, I bought a spare from the dealer. They had to order it.
Oh, please note, if you do this surgery yourself to test for the failed cylinder and replace the coil, make sure you tighten the pack back in and the hex bolts for the coil cover to something like 10-15 lb-ft. If you don't, I've lost bolts from the coil cover because they back out from engine vibration!

I have extra coil packs if you still need it, or if anyone in the future is looking.
My cylinder 1 coil died completely the other week. I replaced 1 and 3 with brand new OEM, and 2 and 4 with low mileage just to be safe. So, I still have 3 working coils for testing/backup.
