This drive is going to be a fun revisit to the far eastern part of Oregon to explore the majesty of the Painted Hills.
We will depart early Saturday and head east to find and explore several back country roads on our way to John Day. Once we arrive, we will check in to our hotel before exploring the area around the Painted Hills for some sunset photo ops.
Afterwards everyone will have some free time to relax, make dinner plans and explore the surrounding area.
Sunday morning will find us with a leisurely breakfast before heading out. We may take the option to travel to the John Day Fossil Beds to expand our minds with some Paleontology at the museum center and surrounding areas before making our way home.
