The Tomcatt Drive has always been about, among other things, the love of driving our S2000s. The scream of VTEC, the rush of acceleration, the challenge of the twisties is what it's all about.

This year, the route will (barring construction issues) be the same as in the past few years. I've occasionally looked for better routes, alternate twisties, but not found anything worthwhile without doing something like changing our lunch spot, or radically changing the timing. We seem to have found a good groove, so I'll stick with it for now.

Since every person registered for this has attended in the past, and I have a list of your previous groups, I've done all the drive group assignments myself. If you have a problem with your assignment, please feel free to PM me.

One more thing related to the drive: if there is anyone coming from the north either from the Columbus direction, or from the north-east (PIttsburgh), please let me know if you are available to scout some sections of the road on your way down. There is a moderately serious road construction issue on a short stretch of Rt 555. I need to find out if it's all done, or to check out an alternate I have in mind, plus a few other things.

As stated in the main thread, I'll check out 555 on Friday. Pretty much have the route memorized.

 

Pay attention to the location of the stop sign on 26 coming Southbound.

 

Jonas has put it to me to be the drive leader of the moderate group, but I have to hash out a few things for that to happen. Plus I've been tail gunner on every drive I've ever been on except for FC'04...someone in my rearview may startle me

The mile marker for that sign is clearly labeled on the route directions. After our first run in 2002 (?) when we piled up 3 across, I make sure it's never missed again.
