IndyFest @ The Milwaukee Mile July 10-12 2015
Hello UMW! It's that time again!!
Andretti Autosport has once again asked for customer S2000 involvement for the July 12th Indy Car race at The Milwaukee Mile! We are looking for 30 cars total while the number used on race day may fluctuate.
For those of you that are not aware with what this means, S2000s are customer supplied and driven around the track as parade vehicles and each carry an Indy car driver! Along with this, each volunteer will receive two weekend passes to the race, sponsor supplied decals for the sides of the car, and we will have our own in-field S2000 parking area! Decals are usually handed out and applied prior to the event and owners are encouraged to drive their cars / attend events to help promote. As for the event, attendance is only required for Sunday the 12th but the passes are good for the entire weekend.
For those interested please reply here and start a list, I will contact you and keep you updated with further information! If you have any questions, feel free to ask*!
Contact me directly for any other concerns, please don't field them to the entire post
Thanks,
Mike Cohn
* quick FAQ based on last years thread ( IndyFest 2014 )
- Are Rollbars allowed? -> Yes!
- Are the drivers going to step on my passenger seat with their shoes? -> Yes! Bring a Towel!
- I have a hardtop. -> That's great! Take it off before we go on track, our parking area was pretty secure last year and we had no problems
- Where does this long windshield type banner go? -> On the windshield silly! (may require some trimming)
- Do I have to remove my fancy windscreen? -> Yup. Pop caps. Two screws. Takes no time.
- Does this mean the driver will be sitting on top of my center console? -> Yes! It's not that delicate. They've been doing this for years! It's ok! They wont damage it!
- As with last year, Information will be updated as I get it!

Unfortunately I will not be able to make this year
Remember though...the Indy drivers have very very dirty shoes and clothes. When Helio got in my car I had to not only shampoo the ENTIRE carpet but burn the passenger seat and buy a new one. I don't even want to get into what he left on my center console.
