Default RAIN H8R Service Thread

Hello Upper Midwest S2000 enthusiasts!

As many of you know my name is Dustin and I am located in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area. As a fellow S2000 owner for the past 9 years and a UMW member for 10 years, I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of people in the community. The UMW has needed a reputable goto S2000 guru for quite a while now and I would like to fill that void.

I would like to announce my availability to any S2000 that needs maintenance, service, and or upgrades. Over the course of my membership on S2ki, I have contributed a lot of information to the Racing & Competition section and the Forced Induction sections. Over the years I have had my hands on well over three dozen S2000 related projects. Working on an automotive project is a very satisfying hobby for me, and I try to recommend service and upgrades with a non salesman approach. All projects are done in a timely manner, if you want something done I aim to get it done as efficiently as possible to get your car back to you. It is also worth noting that my expertise is not limited to only Hondas, but I also prefer to work on Japanese sports cars such as the Skylines, 300zx, EVOs, STi, and many more.

With that said, here is a small sample of what I am capable of doing, as well as previous projects I have completed in the past:
  • K-Pro installs with mild tuning capabilities
  • Electrical wiring
  • General maintenance
  • Full vehicle detailing to make it look new again
  • Soft top replacement (I stock all hardware/clips/fasteners to do the job, no more missing fastenrs for that rear tray!)
  • Complete suspension overhaul including bushing replacements, wheel bearing replacements, install upgraded swaybars, ball joints, tie rod ends, install new shocks or coilovers like KWv3 and of course lowering springs.
  • The entire Science of Speed catalog including supercharger and turbocharger systems
  • TTS rotrex c38 supercharger systems
  • KraftWerks rotrex c30 and c38 Supercharger systems
  • The entire Modifry catalog including speedo healer, coolant temp fix, dash control interface.
  • RAIN H8R Valve cover modification services
  • Clutch replacement
  • Engine/transmission/differential swaps/replacement
  • Engine diagnosing (misfires, compression & leak down testing)
  • Engine builds and rebuilds
  • Early AP1 banjo bolt upgrade
  • STOPTECH big brake kits
  • Aftermarket exhaust systems
  • Track day car prep and setup
  • Dyno time preparations (ensuring minimal time on the dyno to save you money at the tuner)
  • Replace leaky clutch master cylinder
  • Clutch delay valve delete
As you can see, the list goes on. If you are looking for an S2000 specialist, feel free to contact me. Estimates given via PM.

Dustin

Here are some pictures of cars I have performed work on. This is a small sample!

Joes Silverstone AP1. bought as a rolling shell, converted into a track car. Energy suspension master bushing kit installed, KW C38-91 SC Kit installed, Hondata Kpro4, engine and drivetrain gone over and installed.

Carlitos AP2 soft top replacement

Daves AP1 soft top frame swap. 02-09 frame with glass top swapped in, 00-01 frame with plastic window removed. Zero to hero in 6 hours!

Nicks Suzuka AP1 getting AP2 retainers installed. We found a cracked retainer!

The RAIN H8R Valve cover modification, I have done at least a 18 of these by now (2/17/17). I ship world wide for this modification!

Brians DBW AP2 with a TTS C38-92 supercharger. Over 440whp on 93 octane. Stoptech Big Brake kit, and many others.

Joes black Monster. short block machined by King Motorsports, assembled by yours truly, head worked by King Motorsports, once turboed with an AFI divided housing gt3582, then supercharged, now it will be...ohh who knows!

Jeremy CRX Si. Full Energy suspension master bushing kit, all suspension bolts and threaded nuts cleaned and lubed. New shocks, springs, ASR rear brace, ASR rear sway, new Tanabe exhaust. This car turned out so nice!

I'll second that Dustin really knows his stuff. I've witnessed a few builds he's worked on, and seen some work in person. Dustin also played a major roll in doing all the hard work involving my desmurfing interior conversion (swapping out the dash, and all components involved with it, which is a pretty involved and intense operation)!

Very dedicated, focused, strong attention to detail, and also a very high degree of knowledge!

I'll be going to Dustin for some future needs for my car!

I would highly recommend Dustin for any S2000 work weather it be for a simple question, diagnosis or installation. He has personally helped me over the years with many projects and has learned a lot along the way. He is always willing to help a friend or fellow member of the community.

Don't hesitate to ask him for help.

If anyone is thinking of having any work done on their s2000 don't hesitate to give Dustin a call. He's very meticulous in all his repairs. He's knowledgeable and has the research to prove it in his write up posts in the forums.

I would not hesitate to take my car to Dustin for any kind of work whether it be maintenance, build upgrades, forced induction etc. The man knows this car inside and out. He is also very generous with his consulting time, and very reasonable with pricing.

Even if your not local to WI it's worth the drive to let him work on your car. Piece of mind knowing your car is in capable hands is worth a lot to me.
