Default cricket noise at take off

I've notice this noise lately, especially with the top down and driving next to a barrier or wall. As I release the clutch and give the car gas, a cricket or chirping noise (not the tires) is made then disapears as the rpm's rise. I usually hear it upon take off. Anyone with similar problems? I plan to take it to the shop, but I figured I would get your opinions before hand.

Thanks all

-Ry

I did a search, but the topic description are so vague.

normal. it's likely the resonating or whistling that occurs from normal intake noise.

I agree with Wisc's diagnosis. Also, the noises that reflect off a wall or barrier will be distorted so I wouldn't worry about anything you can hear off the wall that you can't hear without (not that it applies 100% to this scenario, just in general)

I think that intake whistling sound is a Honda trait...I've heard other Honda's do that as well.

my car is also making a click sound, it only occurs at slow speeds when i back up, go forward, and sometimes turn, if i riase the rpms and then let the engine break my speed a bit in first gear and then give it some gas and make the car jerk a little, it will make the noise again. I lifted the car and the axles/ halfshafts or whatever they are called seemed a little loosebut i dont thinkn that is the prob, i think it may be my lsd. I do not know what to do.

I have an AEM V2, but it's not the intake whistle, it's kind of like what marrenr813 described. A clicking, crickety noise for just a second as I release the clutch and push the gas. The sound appears to be coming from the rear of the car.

Thanks all for responding to a "noise" question.
