I have the same problem. It started on the right and then moved to the left after the axle nuts on both rears was retorqued.

I'm having the same issue with my 2005 S, right turns, moderate to hard, there is a very faint clicking sound from the driver side rear that is only heard when the top is down. I thought the AP1 where the only ones with this issue.

What are the repercussion of not fixing this right away?

The search function is awesome .

I can't believe if you are asking if 15 seconds of your time is a big deal.

Holy crap people are lazy.

As far as rear axle nuts, all S2000 from 00-09 will likely suffer wheel bearing and hub damage if the axle nuts are not removed, grease the face, and re-torqued. Do not use new nuts, use the original ones. The stake mark will go from 12 o'clock to about 2 o'clock if your car has never had it done.

Fronts...first thing I would check is lug nut torque. Jack up each wheel and look for any play in the bearing.

I found out what my tick tick tick sound was (as described by the original author)

Crazy as it is, my dump pipe fell off and I didn't realize it until the sound. Apparantly, the heat warped my boot/ steering rack and penion on the right side, causing the tick tick sound when I turn.

so for all FI owners, watch out for dump pipe weld FAILs.

thats just my personal experience of this issue I wanted to share...
