Unhappy Local Body Work

The sportsbus got into a little fender bender with a 700 series 07 BMW. No serious damage to either car but enough to make an insurance claim.

The 06 Oddy is mint and I would like to keep it that way. Damage is strictly to the front bumper. With all of the body shops in town, I can only rely on local experience.

To name only a few
Hourglass - No longer a good vibe
Fox - Not
Crafsmen?
Danny Meyer? - bad experience in the past
Bethel??
Accurate??

Any more? What has your experience been?

LOL @ "sportsbus"! Bummer about needing body work done tho. I've seen some pretty good work done by a shop in Muskogee. I'll get their info for you if you're willing to go that far.

Hourglass-not if it was the last shop in the world, would drive my car damaged before I would darken their doorstep.

OR, if you decide for some reason you want your mint car really messed up and are up for a tremendous amount of frustration trying to get the to understand "like new" then go ahead.

Oh no, I'm not bitter, not at all...

Oh yea... Accurate. Yea, they did a decent job on Cliff's car, but they left some kind of little scrubber dealy in his engine bay on top of the splash guard.

I'll see if I can find out the name of that shop in Muskogee.

One more thing... don't go to Mastercraft.

Accurate was good, and by good, i mean i didnt have to tell them to take it back more than once. The scrubber they left was a piece of cardboard material. Other than that it wasnt too bad of an experience and they do warranty their work as long as you own the vehicle, as im assuming most shops do. Karrol (sp) Martin does a good job too, my friend had his 350Z touched up there, and joe has had some experience with them too.

Craftsman In BA is good. A close friend has a 92 NSX & 00 Accord EX. Both have seen service there and both with excellent results. Additionally, his son had an 89 CRX SI and Craftsman installed a Jackson Racing body kit on the car and painted it a completly different color then OEM. It looked great and there were never any issues after the fact.

Also, my wife brushed the frezer in our garage with her 2 day old Honda Pilot and you would never be able to tell after Craftsman repaired it.

Good luck in your search.

Well, I'm not having any luck with the name of that shop in Muskogee... yet.

Here are a few shops that my homie over at Joe Marina Honda recommended:
  • Barron & Hart
  • Collision Repair
  • ICS Coachworks
