I got an HD Tape from canadian tire for about 10$...managed to tape it up with almost 100% clarity...im going to redo since i quickly did it just for the cover up and so that water won't go in. Planning to use heat gun so that it'll stick and be much clearer...i'll post pics when im done

Soft top + Gas no defroster is about 600$ CAD with shipping...it comes with instructions for 00/01 who want to do plastic to glass conversion.

Im just going to do the tape since it works pretty damn well...and im not gonna get a new top since forking out 600$ just to have a good condition soft top just wont satisfy me. Rather put that $600 into coilovers or something(S-TODO!!)

Finally had time to get the work done, they could only "patch it" and not sew it back up.
Service was fast and friendly (<45min)
Price was reasonable (<$70)

Before pics

After
outside is a black sealant, it's pretty sticky once it's put on, have to wait 24hrs for full curing

Inside patch

Let you guys know if there are any troubles with the patch in the next few days.

did that cut naturally happen from wear and tear, or from someone knifing it?

it happened because of the bar rubbing across back and forth from opening and closing normally

I went to work on my car today and noticed that the passensger side of my top has started to develop the cut in the top. If driver side shows the wear and hasn't gone through yet.

I highly recommend everyone to check their tops and to see about putting a patch where the top rubs on that bar when they open and close ther top.

Gotta run to Cambodia Tire to find some glue to fix the cut.
