Amuse Track bumper
Many of you guys have seen our time attack cars with customized bumpers, since we are never happy with any off the shelve aero. Everything from Amuse, APR, ASM and OEM we've tried to change up to increase its on-track performance. Here is a good example of a bumper we recently finished for StinkyTofu's personal track car.
first bumper is cut and molded to lower by 20mm.

various steps in preparing the custom splitter, brackets and reinforcements:
The custom bracing and reinforcement makes the splitter withstand extreme conditions and work at 100% efficiency.

special washers used so the splitter surface will be smooth as possible.

bumper being finished up, Amuse under cover has been cut out to make room for the splitter. Splitter is mounted and checked for final fitment with bumper.

Splitter mounted to chassis, this thing WILL NOT flex.

final product on Tim's bad ass ride

The bumper is so much more functional now with this modification. The original Amuse bumper is a nice piece and is ok for the street but on the track, the aero is a bit unbalanced when paired with a Voltex wing (Type I or II), resulting in mid-high speed understeer. The splitter modification I feel does a much better job of balancing the aero and comparing my gps data pre vs post, I was able to cut roughly 0.5 seconds on just one high speed sweeping turn with just this modification. Thanks, Evasive

I'm sure these cost a pretty penny. Those people are ballsy ballers cutting up their authentic bumpers o_O

its because those guys actually use it for the track and not car shows. If i had a amuse bumper. would modify the hell out of it too to make it more functional because im using it what its for and then more.
