Default AP1 vinyl wrapped center console DIY?

I got sick of my carpet center console, but i can't afford to drop $140 on a leather cover from rick's. So, I picked up some vinyl and made my own. It's only held on by the trim around the shifter, etc. and just tucks up under the radio door and the carpet on the sides. My S is a DD, and the cover has held up well for over a month.

I am thinking about posting a short DIY with the measurements i used and a few instructions... I just wanted to see if there was any interest first. The total cost was $9.

You should do this to benefit the poor people with 2000-2001 S2000s that refuse to get rid of their carpet console.

Alright! It's definitely worth a DIY. Thanks for the kudos.

There is no reason why someone couldn't use a lighter weight leather instead. That's actually what i wanted to do, but i couldn't find a good supplier on short notice. I got the vinyl at a craft store called Hobby Lobby (we have em in the southeast), but i imagine that any well stocked fabric store would have a few vinyls to choose from. The vinyls with a loose felt backing seem too fragile. I used a sturdier one with a cloth backing (i'm not sure what the official "cloth/felt backing" terms are , but you will know what i mean when you see the vinyls).

As for the measurements, i'm going to double check everything. There are a few things i'd like to improve before i put my signature on it. I should have it up in a couple of days.
