Can anyone help me diagnose what this noise is? Listen at 0:17 & 0:28, right after the rev settles down to idle.

Kinda sounds like the a radiation meter. Should I be worried? (Not about radiation, but about my injectors )

Hmmm.... I haven't done the TCT fix. Is it easy?

I listened to all sorts of TCT videos online... all of them sounded a little more serious than this, but this could be the start of it... who knows.

Isnt the TCT fix, just buying billman's sandblasted TCT? how much do they go for? is the install a diy kinda job?

 

For myself I just pulled the Worm Gear (See the guide) and Sanded it with some 220grit. Then Re-install... Took maybe 15 min?

 

does it cease when the car warms up?

 

ive listened to alot of TCT vids and yours doesnt sound like it.....thats sound is kinda concering(not to freak you out)..

but right now i got nothing for you, i cant think of anything?
maybe do a valve adjustment?
how many miles are on your car?
do u drive the shit out of it alot? if you do maybe you hurt a cam?
i cant say what it is, but all i hope is that mine doesnt start to sound like that.

i can hear injectors and maybe a little valve noise. nothing to really worry about. might just need a valve adjustment but other than that i dont really hear anything bad

 

Thanks for your input guys. I do drive the car hard occasionally. I just took out my vortech and went back to stock, so now I'm able to hear noises like this without a big rattling paint can in the way.

'Bout time for a valve adjustment I suppose. I'll keep an eye on it!
