Default EGR/Air Pump delete

I know about the systems and the block off plates. But any body here have a "DIY" write up on the exact procedure for these engines?

Furthermore, what systems are involved and will I incur a CEL ?

Regards,
J.Mann

Please search! This has been discussed so many times.

Before anything, YES, you will get a CEL if you remove the air pump. The 1 and only way around it is if you have an EMS. Challenge attempted to make a delete kit and failed. So that is the only way. What is the main reason you want to delete it anyways?

Pretty much to remove, take off the front bumper, remove pump, all the lines and relay. Make a plate to cover it up. Done.

Yeah I know the search usually sucks, but I found out all that info by searching on here. My air pump went bad and wanted to delete it since I have a test pipe and didnt want to buy a new one. Searched for hours to find that info though. So just keep the air pump unless you have an EMS. Its not going to save you much weight or anything, and you can get them on here cheap to replace yours if it ever goes bad.

1st thing.. NO S2000 HAS EGR. EGR and Air injection are 2 different things.

2nd. Nobody has made a air pump/injection delete kit that eliminates the check engine light.

Sorry to bitch but i find it very disconcerning when some one has a genuine question and some one else starts harping about being a noob and searching. Seriously? The search function is worthless.

Whatever happened If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all?

Instead you jump and get on people's cases because the question is re occuring?

To the op I'm with you man in finding a way to delete the air pump system, in still testing different ways to do it. If I do succeed I'll let you know man.

I really appreciate your reply R00567, glad to see someone else feels the same about this "search button" on here.

But back to the subject of the matter, my other car (E46 M3) has an air pump system (as well as my old E36 M3) and can be deleted but those often throw codes too. I am willing to bet its as simple as a resister harness that could be made very cheaply.

Every car is different so I thought I would post up the question to you guys.

I dont believe u searched at all. Go click search, then type in Air Pump delete, just like you did in your topic title and you will get lots of topics that will answer your question.

https://www.s2ki.com/search/forums?query=Ai...=&forum=&topic=

or

https://www.s2ki.com/search-beta/sea...ir+pump+delete

but i know search is terrible and those topics have nothing to do with deleting the air pump.

3rd choice down in the beta search. And on the second page of a normal search.
