Default ABS light on? new wheel speed sensor?

I have a 2000 AP1 with 255/40r/17 in the rear and 215/45r17 in the front

could having these sized tires and rims be causing the ABS light to come on?.

And is there a fix besides putting on stock tires and rims?

they have to be the same height, or the sensors will tell control unit on you

I think u need to run a diagnostic to tell the problem. I doubt the change in tyre size is the issue. I ran the same tyre combination as you but had no issues.

Those tire sizes are totally fine, very close to stock diameter. No way they caused the ABS issue.

I've run tires that were way off, 205/45-16 fronts with stock size 225/50-16 rears, and the ABS remained functional (not that I recommend it...)

Tires should be within an acceptable range, but you mentioned rims and didn't say what you were running.

Could you have an extremely low offset on the rear and a more normal offset on the front that's causing it?

Of course the simplest answer is probably a rock or something stuck/knocked your wheels sensor

Ok so I went to the stea I mean dealership and they did a diagnostic and siad I need a new right rear wheel speed sensor.

They also tried to charge me 350 dollars for that wheel speed sensor.

So I was wondering is it easy to swap out wheel speed sensors yourself or do you have to get it done professionally?

its pretty simple.
but the sensor, take off that wheel and spray the bolt that holds the sensor to the hub with pb blaster. you DO NOT want to break that bolt!

Aight guys thx for the help. I believe I fixed the problema all I did was take the right rear wheel off, unbolted the ABS sensor and cleaned it. had lots of dirt on it. I went ahead cleaned the other three wheel speed sensors. Still the ABS light came on. But then I unpluggd the right rear ABS from inside the trunk an cleaned the metal contacts with eletrical cleaner, then plugged it back in. Its been about a week of no ABS light on. YES
