Default Did Test Monkey Wreck his Car?

Just took a lunch break and saw a NFR Ap1 with black wheels totaled along with 2 other vehicles on the Galatyn overpass off 75. I walked to the cop that was blocking the entrance to see if they were okay and he said everyone was taken from the scene by ambulance! Just seeing if it was him or someone else here on the boards and if they were okay.?

Wow... that sucks. I'm not sure why anyone would be going fast enough to even get injured on that overpass. It's not exactly like there's a "through" street on it.

One of the cars was sooo mangled I could not tell what it was but it looked like they had to cut through the roof of the car to get the people out. From what I could tell it looked like Test Monkey was going east over 75 and possibly the trashed car was coming up the service ramp to catch the light and ran it. Thats my best guess.

Ah.

I never understood why people would come up that service ramp if they were going straight through. The service road below goes straight through and there's no light.

I agree, but i have seen many people do it. I guess the think they can skip traffic thats backed up on the service road. :dunno:

Yeah, fair point. If they're in that lane, they don't have to deal with merging to get on 75N. At 5pm, I could see that making sense, but at lunchtime there's not really anybody to merge with there.

That intersection does make me nervous, though. With the incline of the ramp and the high walls, you can't really see cross traffic- especially sitting down low in an S2000. Even people that do stop, but then turn right on red, pose a risk to cross traffic.

Oh, well... I hope everyone comes out OK.

Hey guys,
Yes my car is totaled. I was on my way to work going over th overpass and I was beside another car and some idiot decided to run the redlight coming up the service ramp. My light was green for about 4 seconds and as I was going through the light this mexican guy in a truck came up the entrance ramp and decided to go back down the other side and not stop at the red light. I didnt even see it coming, he was going about 65-70 and me and the accord T-Boned him. We were going about 20mph and all I remember is a flash of black infront of me (the truck) and the airbags deploying. I got out and was like "wtf did that just happen?!?!" the truck we hit flipped and was laying on its side against the barrier. Im fine except for a few scrapes on my face and arm. I got xrays cause my neck and head hurt. The man driving the truck got out pretty fast and the fireman had to cut the top off the truck to get the passenger out. here are some pictures.

eBay Strut Bar FTW! Installed 2 days before her death. I wonder if it helped...

The A-Hole that ran the redlight
