Default Planning a road trip - suggestions please

Chaps

I am currently planning a road trip next year from the UK to Monaco in the S2000.

Joining me will be a few mates who have a Cerbera, Alpina Z4 and a 3200GT Masser.

I could do with some suggestions on where to visit on the way, my current plan is as follows:

Spa circuit - couple of track sessions
Nurburgring - couple of laps
Stelvio Pass
Millau Viaduct
Monaco

I know its not many so far so i really could do with your help..................

Have a look at this thread, which I posted earlier in the year: Monte-Carlo or Bust!

It's a bit lengthy, but it might give you some ideas.

We went to the Nurburgring the year before, on the way to the Euromeet.

If you want any detailed information please PM me.

Done this trip a couple of times. If your are heading anywhere near Milau you might want to have a look around the Massif Central (Puy de Dome is fantastic place). This is one of my favourite parts of France now....stunning scenery and some great roads up into the volcanoes.

I did the modball rally in 2009 in a 200sx which was from London to Bratislava we went to Paris, llyon, geneva for the Swiss tuning show which has amazing scenery on the way, Milan, the stelvio pass, and back home via Germany for a couple of laps of the nourburgring

Paris at night time was amazing, some fantastic sights,
geneva Switzerland had some amazing mountain roads with awesome scenery

I agree with 2.2 that some of the mountain roads in Switzerland are awesome, and a pleasure to drive. However, if you intend to visit either Austria or Switzerland, make sure you read the passage relating to the vignette which would be required!

we didnt get the road tax that you need as we didnt know about it and luckily didnt get stopped by the police. but a few others cars where and got a 120 euro fine for not buying a 12 euro tax sticker.

when in austri leaving the hotel there was lots of police about so we just ran for the border as quick as we could,

switzerland was amazing tho.

From Baden Baden heading South try and pick up the A500. It is a great road, with long sweeping bends with good visibility. I did it coming north after overdosing on the tight mountain passes of the Alps where every hairpin was almost a full stop because you couldn't see what was coming. Mind, I was on a motorbike. It runs parallel to Autobahn.
Swiss Vignette at least 40Euros now, and valid for calendar year.
Check Alpine passes are open.
Have fun!
