Probably a better question for the FI forum.

The safest systems seem to be a good direct port setup with a true standalone system for tunning AEM,Haltech,Kpro sense you are 06 +. Most people seem to run about a 75 shot on stock bottom ends

Not sure if there is a real difference with people with an 06+, but the maximum that is safe to run on stock timing is a 75 shot. For safety I would at least get a wideband to monitor your AFRs and a window switch so you are only spraying at certain RPM's.

with spray tunning is a must.honeslt a direct port shot is highly recomended there is a kit that you dont haveto drill into your intake manifold to do direct port which is good also.so a completely stock motor and spray tuned will be ok as long as your not sprying daily because it wont last as long. a general rule of thumb is take your wheel hp and divide it in two that number is ageneral amount you can safely run on a stock block.also before anything i suggest a compression and leakdown test and make sure of no leaks or worn equip.

If a full standalone with nitrous control is out of your budget, you should at least get a FlashPro so that you can create a "nitrous safe" tune. You would be able to switch back and forth between a nitrous tune and non-nitrous tune.

Hey man theres not to many guys running nitrous on the forums here, well compared to the turbo and sc guys anyways...you can safely run up to a 75 shot stock ecu, I HIGHLY recommend getting a wide band sensor tho its a definite requirement of forced induction. If your looking to do 100 shots and up YOU MUST (for the safety side to it) get a direct port setup ( you should just do that anyways its makes better power ) and some sort of standalone ecu ( aem ems, haltech, flashpro ) and tune, no if's and's or but's about it

heres my info on my build including my 100 shot tune and 125 shot tune

some costs you might want to think about are...

Nitrous Setup - around $1500 for a good wet direct port setup ( I have Zex ) including a bottle warmer, 1-2 step colder spark plugs, purge kit, remote bottle opener ( highly suggest it ), and pressure gauge ( you WILL need this high or low shot ) and wide band sensor.

Standalone Ecu - a used one can be had ( Aem Ems for example ) for $800-$1000 some times cheaper

Tune - around $400-$500 ( retunes are cheaper next times )

Aftermarket Clutch - $600-$900 won't need this if your only spraying a 75 shot any higher you will need it, you could prob get away with a few high shots on stock clutch but not for long and it has a better chance of slipping because of all the torque nitrous gives.

Standalone Fuel System - $500... separate fuel cell, fuel lines for the nitrous, return style fpr, and fuel pump. If your going over a 75 shot.

Start with is a good nitrous direct port setup and all the extra's and 75 shot, anything higher buy everything else

also i said general rule of thumb for spray and any vehicle and spray under no circumstance is safe/healthy for a motor but moreso its what precautions you can do to make it safer for a stock motor.and the ones you stated were correct, but putting 100+ shots onto a stock motor may last may not,may only be doing it on these newer cars and seeming safe but a general rule of thumb is half of what your factory hp or whatever hp is a "safe" shot for the motor.

ive been spraying vehicles for over 8 years, stock, street weekend cars, drag car, purpose built nitrous cars, etc
