Default No spark in #4 cylinder after engine installation

Ok here's a little background:
My brother completely destroyed my motor about 2 years ago, so my car has been down the whole time (garage stored). I finally got around to working on it. Had to resleeve the block (bensons), 3 angle valve job (portflow, bad valve seats) and new supertech valvetrain.
After putting in the motor on Friday, the motor fired up right away but the car was running rough. I have a brand new private label header, and noticed that one of the runners wasn't changing color. Sure enough, after checking the spark plug to see if cylinder had any signs of combustion, the plug looked brand new. Tried swapping spark plugs and ignition coils, and still nothing from that cylinder (just to be sure, my friend and I took the plug and coil out, swapped w/ #1,#2 & #3 and tried turning over the motor and getting the plug to arc onto a grounded nut, and no spark)

So in summary, there is no spark at all in the #4 cylinder, and it isn't because of the ign coil or spark plug (and the connector also looks fine as well). I haven't had a chance to do a continuity test yet, but can anyone think of anything else that could be causing it besides the wiring or the ECU. we also went all around the motor trying to make sure all the grounds were well grounded, but they all look good.

any help? i really need it!!

"causing it besides the wiring or the ECU"

There is nothing else. The ECU is directly connected by the wire harness to the coils, So if swapping the coils and plugs did not help, that proves it is the harness or ECU. The harness is easy to test. The ECU, not so easy.

I'm thinking its a wire that got messed up or something. But like the guy above me, I would say it's wiring or ECU. do you have Ap1 or Ap2?

By any chance are you friends with Branden from Boudreau?

How would you test the wire? Ohm meter from coil to ecu? What are the colors/location of plug wires on the ecu?

Oh ok. That's strange because my co-worker just told me the other day that he and his friend just installed the motor of his friends S which got sleeved and everything and that they're having problems getting spark with one of the coils. Anyways, you could try borrowing or buying another ecu and testing with that to eliminate the ECU. Or wait...is the ECU programmed to certain keys?

actually, from what the manual says, when you're using a "donor" ecu, all you have to do is tape the "donor key" (the same one that is matching the ecu) to the key of the car you're starting.
