I'm still working on getting the gallery back to a point I'm happy with but I need some feedback from members about what specific issues they are experiencing which seems odd, unexplained or broken to them. Please post up your gallery issues/questions/concerns here and help me make sure there aren't problems I don't know about.

Ok, it sounds like what we need Vadster is an option like Picasa has that allows people to view images if they know the URL even if the gallery is private. I will look into this...

 

Again this only applies to older posts - A member started a thread that I have been using to post my success/frustration with the gallery. I just reconfirmed what has been going on. I made the folders private & it took away all older posts.

 

So if you post a link to a newer image in a private album it shows on the forums to everyone? I'm not sure what you mean by older posts.

 

Older posts = date image was posted.

here by making my gallery folders private it renders any post made prior to the upgrade blank. Change the folder to public & they can see it again. I can repost an old image & they can see it because the way images are posted is different now. For whatever reason the gallery change wiped out all the older posted images. They're still in the gallery, but the path that links them is corrupt I suspect.

 

Large file sizes (4.0mb +) are being rejected again.

 

correction I tried to upload a 2.99mb image even that won't upload now.

 

Did the system tell you why or did it just fail without any notice?

 

Last night (from home) & this morning (from work) it would just time out. I do not recall the error message, however, now it is working just fine
