Mud and rock flaps
I had to make some mud flaps last night to protect the front fender and mirrors. I know Doug has made some, I made some last night.
The RS3 tires on a +48 offset wheel were destroying my front fenders and mirrors with rock chips. I have only had these tires on for 2500 miles and I have over 20 chips on each fender. With no anticipation to drive slower, I needed to protect my paint before it was completely gone. WGI coming up next Monday, I wanted to get something done before that.
I made my mud flaps out of garden edging from home depot. $8 for a 20' roll. I made 2 and could probably easily make 12-14 more.
Must have mod for a sticky tire out front. I can post a pic later, but you can guess what it looks like.

Doug, how far below the body do they sit? I'm thinking of doing this now that my fenders have been repainted. The old mudflaps used to drag on the ground. Now that I'll be lowered with the eibachs, not sure how low these can be.
