S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Default CR Wing and Trunk info

Please excuse the picture quality, it was taken with my phone

Whole Trunk. All the black things lining the trunk are supports for the trunk; every single one has left a mark on either sheet metal or a support that corresponds to the one on the trunk.

You can sort of see ribbing in the hole here.

Same hole, better picture.

Same picture but zoomed out so you can see which hole I took it through.

Another picture, different hole. The reinforcement is very obvious in this picture.

Another picture. I have no idea why that hole is there.

And, zoomed out.

And, a few pictures of my bumper. The wing pushes down hard enough where the bumper is now mis-aligned. The support doesn't actually touch the bumper when the car is parked....

In Honda's own words the CR's "Coefficient of lift was reduced approximately 70% over the original S2000".

Hmm. Does everyone have an issue with miss-alignment? When I got my car it drove me nuts. I spend a lot of time adjusting the rubber stops, and changing the latch position to fix the miss-alignment. After messing with it, I got it to sit evenly and the gap is very small now. I have to shut my trunk hard, but I can at least sleep well now knowing that the gap is pretty much gone.

It always comes back after any high-speed driving...

I haven't had my CR up to speed yet, but I'll take a misaligned trunk any day rather than the feeling of my rear end wandering and swaying in the breeze at 144 mph in my wingless AP2. Very uneasy feeling.

^ The car is a pure joy to drive at speed. Coming back from Jerome last weekend on the I17 we had 20-30mph gusts, and I was averaging above 80mph, with a few trips to 100+ and the car is like a rock! Huge difference between a CR and non CR above 65mph

Im looking for a way to install these reinforcement mounts on an OEM non-CR trunk. Do you have any pics of these removed to see what the mounting studs look like?

I wonder if you can't just use some 3M double sided tape to mount those there, and the corresponding stoppers on the quaterpanel.
