Default S2000 approved by BMW club

I know in the past many of us had problems signing up for HPDE/track days and here is some welcome good news. Greg is an organizer there (also a instructor) and happens to be an Intel employee also. So, I spoke to him and provided details about our car and he sent me an email that they have officially added the info about S2000 to their site:

Abhi,

Norm and I went back and examined and reworded our policy to be more clear. See below. Yes a S2000 would be welcome at our events.

-greg

We allow open cars with structural and/or factory roll protection to run at our events (e.g. 4 point rollover protection or cage, factory rollover protection or safety systems).

Examples of vehicle with factory protection systems are: BMW Z3 (2000 and newer), Z4, 1 and 3 Series (E46 and newer) Convertibles, Porsche Boxster and Cabriolet (996/997), Audi TT Roadster, Honda S2000 and Ferrari 360/430 Spider.

We do not allow convertibles without rollover protection to run.
=================

So, good for us and hope more S2000 owners sign up. I am planning to sign up for two HPDE classes this year.

Thanks,

Abhi

I went ahead on a couple of screens (you have to register at the site and then select an event etc.) and the cost seems to be $185.
