Muz driver's side floor mat eyelet position mismatch
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone had ordered and used proudly 'Aussie' made Muz mats from the Goldcoast.
I ordered a set of Premium mats, which was promptly delivered. I was keen and mustard to fit them, only to my disappointment that the position of the eyelets do not match the OEM posts location at all on the driver's side. Bending the posts and adjusting them by loosening the screws does not help at all. The floormats slips around too much without the posts retention. Question is do the posts location vary with manufactured year? The Muz representative says that they have not had any issues in the past and suspected that the posts location could have changed with later model S2Ks, with mine being a Dec 2007 manufacture and Jan 2008 complianced.
I have reported the problem immediately after receiving the mats, however, I have not heard from them yet and they have not offered any resolution. I hope their customer support would live up to their premium price (over $500 of floormats!) tag......
I shall be patient and wait for another 1-2 weeks. I shall also reserve my judgement for the time being. I am hoping for a good outcome. If still no response, then it may be case for Consumer Affairs.

MY06 has NO floor posts, so I do think Honda changed around in the later models. Frankly I hate the mat slipping around but honestly have learnt to live with it till a solution pops up, meaning its no too bad.
That's the problem dealing with large corporations like Muz Inc. Your enquiries get lost between Customer Service and the Research and Development division.
Seriously, Muz is one guy, and an early member of this board. If you have any questions just ask here and you'll be talking directly to him.
On the point of positioning poles, I know that later models went to two poles so things did changed. I have the non-premium Muz mats in my MY00 and they perfectly match my alignment pole.

Aus is correct,
Mine has two poles.
How far off is it? How hard would it be to screw the pole into the right position? And if you didn't want to screw it, some super glue would do the trick.

That seems odd, mine is a 05 and has 2 posts, and tak has a later one and it does too.

I doubt that, have you had yours since new?
Xoz,
You should be able to see some slits in the carpet on the crossbeam.
There should be two each with a screw hole. The pole brackets are then screwed to the crossbeam.
The pole brackets are available from spares....
