Default Maintenance light reset steps aka Oil Life% reset

AP1-2 to 05
Hold trip button then turn the ignition to the on position and wait fir the maintenance light to go out then release the trip button.

AP2 06 and up
With key on, press trip button until "oil life%" shows up on the display. Hold trip button
until the display starts to flash then release trip button and hold again until it resets.

It's also in the owner's manual for my 2004.
It describes the procedure under the "Maintenance Required" light description.
