Default Broken window molding plug/clip

Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can get this piece? Just installed my hardtop and closed the passenger door not expecting there to be a clearance issue in this particular area... Of course, I managed to break this tiny plastic part that inserts into the end of the window molding an attaches to the door via a small plastic rivet. I tried regluing the pieces together but that obviously wasn't strong enough for the piece to do its job. Anyway, now I have to close the door for my passenger from the outside in order to get that molding to go under the lip of the hardtop where it belongs.

Thanks, should have included that I've searched there...

I can see that the entire molding is available, but that specific piece that inserts into the end of the molding is not given its own specific part number. Its obviously not worth $68 dollars to replace the entire molding when the only problem is the clip that holds it down.

mine recently did the exact same thing, so now i have to roll the window down and hold the molding when i close the door before i can take off. it especially sucks when its pouring down rain. and i never had any clearance issues with the hardtop and door or noticed any type of contact. everything fit perfectly under the hardtop. no scraping, NOTHING. it sucks having to waste money on this stupid piece but i figure i might as well replace all the weather stripping and moldings anyway since shes almost 12 years old. and im just going to have a friend of a friend who does bodywork at pohanka acura replace all that stuff and try to see if he can fit the top on and get it to align better than i did while he replaces the stripping/molding.

Yeah... Had a feeling thats where this was going. I may try and make a temporary fix for it, not sure how yet... The rest of the molding looks brand new, the car's been garaged its whole life. I'm not spending all that money for one crappy plastic clip. Thanks for posting man, good luck getting it taken care of.

I can't believe it hasn't been addressed more lol guess the excitement of getting a new HT outweighs the disappointment of breaking a plastic clip. Still drives me nuts... Can't find that piece anywhere.
