Very sad video
This is really sad. I feel for the guy.
At first I was just like "this is a sham -- he is trying to make up an excuse for a supposedly fun Saturday night ... Goodwill? talking about all the details in a manner that seems to be how you would recount them to the police or insurance? totally a sham."
But then I watched it a few times and watched a few of his other videos on youtube. This is the real deal. And after explaining the story a million times to people and insurance, I bet it now comes naturally to recount in a factual way how the accident occurred. Hopefully someone did a breathalyzer on the other driver who was driving down the sidewalk at 40 mph and will put his ass in jail for some time for nearly killing our CR driver. Also it is great that there were witnesses who can vouch for our guy. Thank God there were no pedestrians involved.
Makes me not want to drive my CR anywhere but at autocross

Update to this video: The owner was offered 20k through his insurance to repair the car and he is considering fixing it. I'm surprised the car wasn't totaled. Also the owner has been invited to S2KI/CR forums, hopefully he will chime in soon.
Here is the owners first post:

After looking at his other videos and seeing that he is a "card junkie" I would think he also might be (today or in the future) a collector car junkie too. Accepting the car back after being repaired would seem to me like it would render the car invalid as a collector's car for purposes of any eventual significant appreciation in value. Anyone care to comment? (I'm just starting to learn about collector cars). Considering that his car was fairly stock looking, he might have fit tha collector car owners profile and might eventually lose out. That would truly be rareluck
