Default The End is Nigh...

After owning my S2000 for just over 3 years, the time has come to move on

I'll be buying a much larger property this year, which will likely need some major TLC, and therefore a bit of money behind it as well. The running costs of the car just don't add up IMO for the use (or lack of) that's it's getting. I mainly drive the car to/from work, and just don't get the opportunity to drive it how I want to My new place will also be much closer to work, so will have no need to drive.

Combine that with high fuel prices, relatively high insurance (~ £800), and the need for extra seats, I cannot justify owning it any longer

This car has been my absolute pride and joy, and has been meticulously looked after...I am devastated to have realised that I will be parting with it in the next few months.

The car itself isn't worth that much (MY99 with ~ 98k miles), adding to the fact that it has a dented boot lid a couple of minor rust patches, faulty air con compressor, and knackered air pump.

I won't be selling it. Instead I shall be breaking it with the care that has gone into maintaining it, and selling some highly sought after parts to the likes of you guys and girls.

I hope to keep in touch with a few people on here and hope to come along to a few meets, but I dare say my participation in the forum will dwindle...I also dare say that some of you will be thinking 'thank f@#k for that!'

Thanks to everyone who has helped me out over the years, and for the laughs that have been enjoyed on many an occasion.

Once I have purchased another car, I will begin to remove and list all the parts that I have up for grabs.

Lofty,

Sad to hear this. One of the forum good guys

You won't leave though

Also, i'm a little suspicious now... We have Irvatron leaving and selling his car to fund his sex change, now you are selling up for something with "more seats"

Now, it's easy to put 2 and 2 together here. Imagine the love child of you 2 raving queens though!

PS - got any bits to sell me?

Russ...who knows...I might do an MB

I've had a few enquiries about parts already To those who have PM'd already, I will let you know, but please no more 'til the car is off the road and I have time to list descriptions/mileages etc...

I shall refrain from commenting on the status of Ms loftust...but no, she isn't up the duff
