Default Help with alignment specs!

225 front, 255 rear dunlop star spec. 17x8 front 17x9 rear wheels. KWv3 medium stiffness all around. What alignment specs should I get as far as camber?

Billman recommends for stock tire sizes:

Front:
Max Caster- Even on both sides
Toe in 16 total
Camber -1.2

Rear:
Camber -2
Toe to match

Stegius has a similar setup except he runs 255s competition, mine are staggered:

-3 front
-2.7 rear

He said -2.5 all around might work.

I have raised my car so rubbing isnt an issue anymore and will be getting my fenders rolled soon. My question is if someone more knowledgeable than myself can tell me what would be the right camber specs for a neutral balanced handling being that I am running the same suspension settings on all 4 corners?

Any help would be great. Here are pics of how the car sits now after I raised it. (My driveway is uneven so it looks like its higher on one side)

Idk if this will hwlp, but I have 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 Star Specs and I run the UK Alignment on AP2V2's w/ Koni Yellows (Lowest Perch and Hardest Setting) and H&R Race Springs...No rubbing issues ever and I drive hard as hell every day...Well I did until I was deployed. Try running the UK Alignment?

how often are you tracking the car? .16 toe in will wear the tires out pretty quickly. Altho, I personally like my front toe at 0.

My alignment when I was on KWv3 and non stagger 255 star specs.

Front
Caster 6+
Camber -1.7
Toe 0

Rear
Camber -2.7
Toe .14 total toe in

Very neutral with the way I drive but then again I have the softer AP2 sway bars so it might not be the same for you.

FYI, from your pics it looks like you have a lot of rake which can cause the car to be loose at the limit. And your not gonna get -2.5 camber in the front without aftermarket camber adjusters.

BEST thing to do is start reading the KW settings thread in the Racing and Competition Forums for other peoples experiences and input. Then put it to the test. Whats a couple alignments compare to the price of all the other mods you want

Idk billman says the toe in is for the tires to NOT wear. Also my camber was -2.5 front -3 rear without am camber adjusters. Maybe ap1s and 2s are different.

What is rake? i thought this only applied to motorcycles

a 16th front toe in isn't a big deal.

What you should really be doing is telling us how the car feels now. If you want something to start out with after raising it then you have to tell us what your main use for the car is (track, auto x, mountain rds)

Does your car push on entry and oversteer on exit?

As far as damper settings go, you can try what Billy Johnson recommends. Street setting
Settings are from full stiff
2 sweeps or 4 clicks out on comp f & r
Rebound
5 clicks f
7 clicks r

This is for mainly street + tail of the dragon + highway use + plus occasional autocross

And yes it understeers hard on entry and I havent tested over steer yet

I tried -2.5 front -3 rear and its a little better as far as front end understeer in neutral, not sure about under power

Try reducing rear camber down to 2 or 2.5

Pushing on entry is a pretty common driver error. Try and think about what you're doing at that moment when it's pushing and possibly even before it started to see what you did to get it to push.

It has everything to do with where you're putting the weight, you might be telling the car to turn with the steering wheel but what you're doing with the brakes and throttle are making that steering input impossible.

So you think -2.5 all around should do the trick? Or should I put -2.5 up front and -2 in the back?

Idk it could have been driver error, but it didnt act like that on stock tires...

2.5f 2.0r

The only change was going from stock tires to what you have now? That one change caused the car to push on entry or were there other changes.
