Default What's your insurance like

I know this will vary ALOT based on your age, marital status, credit, driving habits, driving record, etc. but I'm curious what to expect for insurance rates for the S2000. I'm going to look and probably buy an MY04 Yellow one tomorrow and while I know I can afford the car and insurance, I just want to get a ball park figure. I'm 24, one accident and one speeding ticket in the last 5 years, and have only ever had one car, an '89 crx so the insurance and tax on the S will be much higher I expect, although I will list the S as a weekend car (as long as that causes it to have a lower insurance rate).

Give me some ideas please!

I'm 33, no tickets or accidents on my record, I have safeco ins. I pay $410 every 6 months for full coverage with towing and rental.

once you turn 25 it should go down quite a bit.

$132/month for my S and my commuter pickup truck for full coverage. I'm 28 with 3 previous speeding tickets spread out since I got my license 11 years ago.

19 with 1 accident. 350 a month under my moms policy and now that I'm independent, it's 600 a month under my own policy.

22 here and paying 411 every six months with full coverage. No tickets or accidents but I don't have rental or towing like drkphnx does.

I tried listing my car as a weekend car but didn't see a change in premium so I left it as a commuter. I have progressive by the way.

Call your insurance company (most even offer quotes online) and get a quote... other people telling you what they pay is irrelevant.

Makes sense: someone under 25, male, "sporty" car, and add in the statistics of theft and accident rates of S2000s and it gets expensive.

I checked my rate if I weren't under my parents policy, at 18 with one speeding ticket, and it would cost me $455 a month for full coverage.
