Default Brake Hose Connection

Last summer I carried out Replacement of My Front Brakes I had bought a set of Goodridge SS Brake Hose,

but fitting these to the front of the car was a major task, as the connection between the brake line from the brake modulator unit and the brake hose is vertical, and is a big water and dirt trap! In the event, I had to cut the OSF hose and fit a replacement brake line. A bit of a pain, but at least it was a short run.

At my last MOT I received an 'advisory' 'rear brake disks pitted'! Although not in that bad a condition I decided that, as it is a simple job to replace them, I would do so to avoid any future problems. However, the same problem exists where the rear brake line connects to the existing hose, as I had at the front of the car.

Having spent four days spraying with release oil and wire brushing,I cannot crack the connection - and I have all the correct tools for this job! Working on the OSR it would be a major task to replace the brake line back to the brake modulator unit!

Has anyone found an easy answer to breaking this connection, without cutting everything away?

PS Everything has been reassembled with the original hose in place - for now!
